🌿 SYNGONIUM CARE GUIDE
Cam’s Plants at Ingleside Village
⭐ Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Syngoniums are easygoing, fast growers that adapt well to most homes. Great for beginners, but can still thrive and size up with proper care.
💧 Watering
Syngoniums like to dry out slightly between waterings.
• Do not keep soil constantly wet.
• Do not let them stay bone dry for too long.
👉 The sweet spot:
Water when the pot feels light, around 60–75% dry.
They’re forgiving, but consistent watering will give you the best growth.
🌞 Light
• Bright, indirect light is ideal.
• Can tolerate medium light.
• Avoid harsh direct sun.
More light = better color and fuller growth.
🌱 Soil
• Well-draining soil is key.
• Chunky mix preferred, but they are adaptable.
Avoid heavy soil that holds too much moisture.
🌿 Fertilizer
• Can be fertilized on a schedule every 2–4 weeks.
• Or use a light fertilizer with every watering.
Feeding regularly helps maintain color and encourages faster growth.
🌡️ Humidity & Temperature
• Do well in normal household humidity.
• Appreciate higher humidity but not required.
• Keep away from cold drafts.
🌿 Growth Habit
• Naturally a vining/climbing plant.
• Can be kept bushy or trained to climb.
👉 If given support such as a moss pole or stake, leaves will grow larger and more mature.
⚠️ Common Issues
Yellowing Leaves
• Usually overwatering.
Leggy Growth
• Not enough light.
Faded Color
• Needs more light or nutrients.
💡 Pro Tip
If you want bigger, more mature leaves, give your Syngonium something to climb instead of letting it trail.
Fast-growing, adaptable, and super rewarding… Syngoniums are an easy favorite. 🌿
